Meet Steven Lopez

Workforce Challenge:

Steven Lopez, Lomita resident, was out of a job for over a year. Unable to benefit from Unemployment Insurance, his savings were dwindling and he almost became homeless a few times. He wanted to be off public assistance and instead contribute to paying for it by paying taxes.

Meet Steven Lopez

Workforce Solution:

Mr. Lopez came across the South Bay One-Stop Business & Career Center for help, where he obtained financial and job search assistance. As well as resume writing and financial assistance for educational advancement.

Outcome and Benefits:

With the assistance of his case manager, and his determination, Mr. Lopez secured employment at TriNet.

“Don’t ever be afraid or ashamed to ask for help. Even if that just means asking someone where to get help. And never give up on you, you ARE worth it.”
