Biography

Tim Mendelsohn is SBWIB YouthBuild's Math and Science Teacher. He grew up in the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles and attended Pasadena Community College before transferring to Cal-State Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He continued his graduate studies at Antioch University, Los Angeles, where he earned his teaching credential and Masters Degree in Education.

Tim has worked as an Adjunct Professor in Education at Antioch University, Los Angeles, a math teacher at Birmingham Community Charter High School in the San Fernando Valley, and a math and science teacher at John Muir Charter School's YouthBuild in Pacoima before coming to SBWIB YouthBuild in Lennox, CA.

Tim believes in the transformative power of education and encourages young people to reach their full potential by completing their high school education and planning their post-secondary school endeavors.
